平成29年12月11日(月)、本校螢雪館ホールにおいて、2年普通科生徒対象の「異文化理解講座」を開催しました。「いろいろな国の人と英語で話そう」のサブタイトルが示すように、アルバニア、マレーシア、アイルランド、インドネシア、カナダ、ウクライナ、アメリカ出身の5名の富山大学の留学生と3名のＡＬＴを講師として迎えました。全体での講師紹介では各国の母国語での挨拶を教えてもらいました。その後、8つのブースに分かれ、それぞれの講師に、日本や高岡の「学校・教育」や「伝統・文化」について紹介するプレゼンを行いました。プレゼン後は講師の出身国について質問をしたり、プレゼンした内容をさらに詳しく説明したりして交流を深めました。
グループのプレゼンではパンフレットや写真、ぬいぐるみや昆布のおにぎりなども出てきて和やかな雰囲気がホールにあふれていました。また、高岡高校伝統の「青年体操」を披露するグループもありました。最初は声が小さかった生徒もいましたが、講師の方が熱心に聞いて下さり、わかりやすく話して下さったおかげで、だんだんと声も出てきました。ジェスチャーを交えて説明したり、実演したりするグループもあり活発な交流会となりました。
生徒の感想
At first, I felt nervous to talk with people from different countries but I got more confident through this experience.- I was afraid of making mistakes, but the teachers listened to us with a smile. I learned that it is most important to make eye contact and smile.
- It was fun to learn many things in this lecture. I want to keep up with my English lessons so that I can speak more actively.
- I had a good time today but I couldn’t ask them about their countries. I was so frustrated. I want to go abroad in the future so I need to study English hard. I will do my best!
- Although it was a very short time, I could deepen my understanding of different cultures. I also found a lot of similar things in different cultures.
